What's new in Maximo Assist 9.0
Watson Discovery deprecation
Removal of the Watson Discovery dependency in Maximo Assist.
Beginning with Maximo Application Suite 9.0, Watson Discovery, previously utilized to support Query and Diagnose functions and voice inspections in Maximo Assist, is no longer a supported dependency. If your deployment of Maximo Assist currently includes Watson Discovery and you are planning to upgrade to Maximo Application Suite 9.0, it is essential to contact IBM Support beforehand. They will assist in the manual removal of Watson Discovery from your environment, ensuring a smooth upgrade process without dependencies on deprecated components.
Removal of voice inspections in Maximo Assist
Beginning with Maximo Application Suite 9.0, voice inspections are no longer supported within Maximo Assist. If voice inspections are currently enabled in your environment and you are planning to upgrade to Maximo Application Suite 9.0, this feature will be automatically removed as part of the upgrade process. There is no action required from administrators or users to manually disable or remove voice inspections before upgrading.
Removal of Diagnose in Maximo Assist
Starting in Maximo Application Suite 9.0, the Diagnose function is no longer available in Maximo Assist. If the Diagnose function is enabled and you are upgrading to Maximo Application Suite 9.0 this function and any associated diagnosis libraries are automatically removed during the upgrade.
Removal of Document Query API in Maximo Assist
Starting in Maximo Application Suite 9.0, the document query API is no longer available in Maximo Assist. If the document query API is enabled and you are upgrading to Maximo Application Suite 9.0, this API is automatically removed during the upgrade.
