MaxThreads for the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator file system

The maxThreads for the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator file system adapter is used for performance tuning to set the maximum number of threads used when collecting files. The default is ten threads.

The example of BPML for setting the max Threads to 10 (default):

The steps to set maxThreads values from FSA adapter:

  • Go to Deployment > Services > Configuration to configure FSA adapter.
  • Select Yes for Start a business process once files are collected for FSA
  • Set maxThreads from GPM or BPML. The usage of the setting:
  • To collect a single file: If maxThreads = 1, it starts only one business process.
  • To collect multiple files (for example, 5 files):
  • If maxThreads = 1, it starts 5 child business processes that run at different times (sequentially). The processes are run one by one until all of files are collected.
  • If maxThreads = 5, it starts and ends 5 child business processes at the same time.
    To collect multiple files, also set CollectMultiple = Yes
  • Set these parameters from GPM:
    Bootstrap = Yes
    InitialWorkFlowld = businessprocessname
