What This Means for You

With the End-of-Life extension, organizations using Camunda 7 Enterprise Edition will continue receiving security patches and support through April 2030, offering additional time and flexibility to plan migration strategies.

Although the EoL date has been extended, it is strongly advised to use this period proactively:

  • Begin evaluating and planning the migration to Camunda 8.
  • Utilize available resources, and engage with the Customer Success Manager, Technical Account Manager (if assigned), Consulting team, or implementation partners to start migration discussions.
  • Access on-demand support materials and insights through the resources linked below.
  • Review the Camunda 8 feature roadmap and align with the appropriate migration timeline.
  • Allocate necessary budget and prepare a migration plan to ensure a smooth transition when the desired Camunda 8 version becomes available.

Camunda 7 Community Edition End-of-Life

The End-of-Life (EoL) date for Camunda 7 Community Edition remains unchanged. The final feature release, version 7.24, is still scheduled for October 14, 2025. Following this release, the repository will be archived, and no additional updates—including security patches—will be provided.

For organizations requiring ongoing support for solutions built on Camunda 7 Community Edition after this date, an upgrade to an Enterprise Edition license is recommended. This option offers continued support and access to extended support timelines.

Camunda remains focused on eliminating migration barriers between Camunda 7 and Camunda 8. As innovation continues across process orchestration and automation, the goal is to ensure organizations are fully supported throughout their transition and beyond.
